Social Care Assistants play a vital part in our residents day and no two days are the same. The role is varied and it really is a privilege to be part of the residents lives and get to know them and their loved ones.
This post is responsible for providing personal care and support to service users and to support care staff to meet the needs of older people in a residential care setting, as required by legislation.
​
Previous experience would be great, but the most important thing is that you have a caring nature, we can teach you the rest!

An opportunity has arisen to provide administrative support to the Unscheduled Care Service within the Isle of Skye.
​
The Unscheduled Care Service delivers Nursing and Advanced Practice patient care across both Broadford Hospital and Portree Hospital Urgent Care Centre. This post would include office-based days in both Broadford and Portree Hospital to support the Unscheduled Care Service here on Skye.
​
You will be part of the Unscheduled Care Team dedicated to providing excellent patient care and vital to the smooth running of the service.
The post will be a fast, dynamic and varied.
Duties will include managing and co-ordinating Team Lead’s diary; co-ordinate meetings and other events; forward planning and prioritisation of incoming non-clinical workload; compiling meeting agendas and prepare accompanying paperwork; transcribing documents and managing file systems; prioritise email inbox; submission of departmental returns; reports and correspondence and answer general queries.

Proficiency in Microsoft office systems is essential. A full induction will be provided with ongoing training opportunities appropriate to the role. You will be developing the role with the Team Leads guidance working towards a level of autonomy when established in post.

An opportunity has arose to join our motivated and dedicated team of practitioners serving the communities within Skye and Lochalsh across two hospital sites (Broadford and Portree). You would be providing care to the population of Skye (approximately 13,000). However, we do attract in the region of 1 million tourists every year so it is never dull.
You must have or be working towards the MSc in Advanced Practice, with highly developed clinical decision making skills and be able to work autonomously. An ability to think on your feet and sometimes out of the box is desirable.
